Hour Media is a national multimedia news and advertising company, as well as the largest publisher of city and regional magazines in the United States. We publish Hour Detroit, Atlanta magazine, Indianapolis Monthly, Cincinnati magazine, Salt Lake magazine, Orlando Illustrated, Minnesota Monthly, Palm Beach Illustrated, and more than 100 other titles nationwide. We are actively seeking a motivated and enthusiastic student to join us as a Marketing & Events Intern at our Michigan headquarters for the Spring/Summer 2025 season. Hour Media maintains a robust schedule of events throughout the spring and summer, and interns will assist the Marketing and Events teams in planning, promoting, and executing these events. Schedules are flexible; however, attendance and participation at scheduled events are mandatory. A minimum three-month commitment is required. This role is in person and based out of our Troy office, offering hands-on experience in a fast-paced media environment. What You’ll Learn & Do

In this role, interns will gain valuable experience across multiple aspects of marketing and live events, including: Event planning, promotion, and on-site support Marketing campaign coordination and execution Making outbound calls to support marketing initiatives, partnerships, and events Assisting with marketing research and outreach efforts Exposure to editorial, sales, and production teams Interns will learn directly from industry professionals and play an active role in supporting Hour Media’s signature events and marketing initiatives. Creative, organized, and eager to learn Professional and able to follow instructions closely Highly detail-oriented and dependable Interested in marketing, events, media, or communications Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a university or vocational/technical training program Available to work 16–24 hours per week Able to work in person at the Troy office during standard business hours Intern applicants must be enrolled in school and eligible to receive educational credit. This internship is unpaid and designed to provide hands-on education, training, and real-world experience in marketing and events.
