What You Can Expect Lead and manage a team of sales personnel within a specific geographic area. Lead the sales team in the execution of a sales plan used to attain the sales goals and objectives determined for the region. This position will drive sales growth utilizing the market trends and sales strategies established for the region. Communicate with regional leader regarding customer and competitor activities in the field.

How You'll Create Impact

Leads team sales activities to include: developing individual sales plans; ensuring sales targets are being met; executing local education and sales events; utilizing sales systems to manage leads and customer activity; utilizing the surgery management system to ensure flawless execution of product delivery.

Initiates and builds strong relationships with key surgeons and hospital leadership while able to cover orthopedic procedures with clinical proficiency and business acumen.

Hires, coaches, mentors and develops staff toward maximized performance. Develops and executes action plans to address underperformance.

Develops relationships with product support personnel, and creates product line technical competence, including demonstration of Zimmer product capabilities, key features and advance applications.

Applys Zimmer Values and reinforcing adherence to all laws and applicable Zimmer policies and SOPs regarding the interaction with HCP’s (Health Care Professionals), product handling and complaints, expense reporting, sales activities and training.

Your Background

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or technical discipline plus a minimum of 6 years’ proven sales/marketing experience in orthopedic sales (or related business) or a minimum of 10 years’ proven sales experience in the medical device industry.

Orthopedic knowledge, including Zimmer competitor product portfolios

Physical Requirements Travel Expectations

Up to 95% predominantly by car, depending on territory

Up to 20% overnight travel may be required
