
District Sales Manager- Dallas Fort Worth South

Responsibilities
Oversee a group of Territory Managers (TMs) in selling the company's products and services, guiding them to close opportunities, penetrate accounts, and develop new business within a specified district.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to TMs to achieve profitable sales and case growth objectives.
Lead TMs to achieve division sales, penetration and churn reduction objectives; develop short and long‑term sales plans.
Direct TMs toward high‑quality leads, assist in opening new accounts and reducing churn.
Submit and administer annual street sales operating plan and operating budget, approving expenses, credits, donations, and contracts, and tracking performance against plan.
Leverage Sales Coordinator role to reduce administrative time, resolving TM and customer issues.
Assist in coordinating product cuttings and demonstrations; develop sales and marketing strategies and proposals for customers.
Communicate sales data to contribute to product/service planning; plan district sales meetings and events with Marketing and Merchandising personnel.
Understand and utilize Sales Foundations tools and processes to grow sales and maintain customer service standards.
Recruit, train and mentor new hires and existing TMs, providing field support and coaching.
Oversee, manage, and assess TM performance; institute performance improvement or disciplinary measures as needed.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and product developments; establish industry contacts and evaluate product mix.
Research and develop lists of potential customers; conduct periodic Customer Business Reviews.
Assist in customer/delivery alignment and driver engagement.
Ensure communication and execution of company policies within the sales department.
Maintain adequate staffing to minimize turnover.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum five years of foodservice sales experience.
Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
Ability to travel overnight as required.
Demonstrated problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, and presentation abilities.
Proficient computer skills, preferably in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Valid driver’s license required.
Drivers with a DUI conviction for drug or alcohol within the last three years will not be considered eligible.
Compensation Base salary range: $75,000 - $125,000, depending on experience, education, and other factors.
