About the Role We have been assigned by our US owned global automotive supplier to recruit an experienced Sales Manager – Automotive to lead and grow their OEM and Tier supplier business across North America. This role will focus on developing strategic relationships with major automotive manufacturers and Tier 1 / Tier 2 suppliers while managing and developing a high-performing sales team.
The role can be based in Detroit and there is some flexibility on location for the right candidate within the Michigan/WI regions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of automotive sales professionals across OEM and Tier supplier accounts
Drive revenue growth and strategic sales initiatives within the automotive sector
Build and maintain strong relationships with major OEMs and Tier 1 / Tier 2 suppliers
Identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer partnerships
Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company objectives
Collaborate with engineering, product management, and operations teams to deliver customer solutions
Monitor market trends and competitive activity within the automotive electronics and manufacturing space
Provide forecasting, reporting, and performance management for the sales team
Key Requirements
Proven experience in automotive sales, ideally selling into OEMs and Tier 1 / Tier 2 suppliers
Previous sales leadership or team management experience
Demonstrated ability to grow strategic accounts and drive revenue
Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Willingness to travel as required
