Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. As a Community Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with community members, stakeholders, and partner organizations. Your duties will include coordinating volunteers, community events, developing and implementing engagement strategies, facilitating communication across diverse groups, and supporting project management efforts to achieve program goals. Additionally, you will act as a liaison to ensure partnerships and programs align with the organization's mission of addressing food insecurity and empowering local communities.

Qualifications

Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and groups

Experience in Community Engagement and Stakeholder Engagement, with a focus on inclusion and equity

Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to address various audiences

Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, organizing, and executing community-focused initiatives

Passion for social impact, food justice, and community empowerment

Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently when required

Knowledge of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area's social and cultural fabric is a plus

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Nonprofit Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
