$19.00 – $22.00 per hour (DOE)
General Job Duties
Package and ship all customer orders, including radioactive, hazardous, and non-hazardous materials, in compliance with DOT and IATA regulations.
Receive, inspect, and log consolidated shipments, radioactive materials, parts, supplies, and customer-supplied containers; verify packing lists against purchase orders.
Deliver all shipping and receiving documents to the Accounting department daily.
Perform contamination wipes on all outgoing shipments and document wipe data in appropriate logs.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized receiving, shipping, and warehouse area.
Manage and maintain packaging and shipping supplies.
Assist with general facility maintenance and upkeep.
Be knowledgeable of ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 17043 standard requirements, ensuring departmental compliance.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in shipping and receiving (hazardous materials experience preferred)
Dangerous Goods / IATA certification is a plus
Abilities & Skills:
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in general mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, algebra, geometry)
Familiarity with FedEx, UPS, and other carrier shipment processes
Understanding and application of ALARA principles
Strong attention to detail
Consistently follow radiological and general safety procedures
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively
Able to lift up to 50 pounds daily
