Hybrid schedule: 2 days remote / 3 in‑office

Responsibilities The
Underwriting Analyst
position provides the opportunity to work closely with our agency partners and evaluate risks for Workers’ Compensation, Businessowners’, Commercial Auto, and Umbrella policies for small businesses. This is a great opportunity to begin a career in the commercial insurance industry to learn about interesting commercial insurance products. If you are focused on technology, are attentive to detail, and demonstrate strong initiative, then our team might be right for you!
Utilize company underwriting criteria to evaluate risks for various lines of business
Ability to work independently
Perform independent verification of insured's operations
Review and process change requests on in-force policies
Evaluate in-force policies at renewal
Develop relationships with agencies
Participate in Underwriting Training for new products, directives and processes
Travel regularly to agency offices
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
Prior insurance related experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work in a service‑centric environment, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional support to internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates should have investigative skills and be comfortable using the Internet as a research tool
Strong communication and customer service skills
A team‑oriented mindset
Ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment
Adaptability to change
Strong time management and attention to detail skills

Wilkes‑Barre, PA; Scottsdale, AZ
