Position Summary The Superintendent is the senior field leader responsible for executing projects with precision, organization, and accountability. Mainly overseeing site coordination, schedule execution, subcontractor alignment, and quality control from mobilization through completion. We are looking for a Superintendent who believes that strong planning and communication eliminate most field issues before they escalate.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary on‑site leader for assigned projects
Coordinate daily activities of in‑house crews and subcontractors
Ensure work aligns with construction documents, specifications, and defined selections
Maintain jobsite standards for quality, organization, and professionalism
Address field issues early, before they impact the schedule or budget
Build, maintain, and actively manage the job schedule
Utilize construction management software to keep schedules current and visible
Conduct look‑ahead planning and sequencing in collaboration with the Project Manager
Communicate upcoming work, constraints, and dependencies clearly to trades
Translate pre‑construction documentation into clear field direction
Clarify scope details with trades prior to work starting
Identify potential misalignments early and elevate appropriately
Reinforce TAB's belief that most field challenges stem from unclear expectations, not technical limitations
Use construction management software (currently CoConstruct) as a live communication tool
Maintain accurate updates, close out tasks, and document progress consistently
Ensure the field and office operate from the same real‑time information
Qualifications
5+ years of managing complex custom homes in residential construction field leadership experience ($1M‑$10M+ projects preferred)
Strong technical knowledge across framing, finishes, MEP coordination, and sequencing
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
Comfortable working with construction management software
Strong organizational and communication skills
