The Opportunity: The role of the Global Relationship Manager (GRM) is to create sustainable and profitable partnerships with key global customers in the biopharmaceutical industry. The GRM is responsible for formulating global account strategies for key customers, coordinating with local Biopharma Relationship Managers (BRMs) to ensure successful execution, and managing the relationship of key customer global stakeholders to position the BU as the primary supplier for mammalian and microbial-based manufacture, vaccines, cell & gene therapy, and peptide manufacture.

Pay Transparency The expected pre‑tax pay for this position is $122,000.00 - $196,075.00. Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.

How you will create an impact
Formulate global accounts strategies for key biopharma customers.
Work closely with the account relevant local commercial team members to ensure global account strategies are being executed efficiently.
Raise customer global stakeholder awareness by promoting Avantor’s value proposition as a manufacturer and supplier of chemicals, serum, and single‑use products & services to support the manufacturing processes of various biologic‑related product classes.
Build and sustain long‑lasting business relationships with customers to ensure brand loyalty.
Execute company strategies to achieve sales growth in all regions (NA, EU & AMEA).
Champion internal alignment with stakeholders to ensure key customer opportunities are managed and executed efficiently.
Identify and lead the development or refinement of new custom manufacturing opportunities.
Negotiate & manage complex global contracts.
Manage a pipeline of opportunities and contracted business.
Visit with and facilitate senior‑level presentations to end customers.
Use the CRM system for consistent reporting and information exchange.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for
Education:
BSc/BA degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Chemical/Genetic Engineering or related life sciences degree. An MBA would be an asset.
Experience:
At least 8 years sales experience within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing or related life sciences industry.
Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
Good knowledge of office applications (mainly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
Ability to recognize need for change and employ appropriate strategies to facilitate change.
Ability to be flexible in a fast‑changing environment and to work well under pressure.
Self‑motivated team player capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
Full driver’s license.
Comfortable navigating within a matrix to ensure projects are established, maintained and executed efficiently.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written English.
Strong demonstration of collaboration across all functions and levels within an organization.
Strong negotiation skills are a must.
The duties of the job will require travel approximately 25% - 50% of the time. Travel will include the following regions: NA, EU & AMEA.
