Description
We are looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our team on a contract basis in Madison, Wisconsin. This role requires a creative individual with a strong background in graphic design and web publishing to contribute to a variety of projects across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and bring both technical expertise and innovative ideas to the table.
Responsibilities
Design and create engaging web layouts, graphics, and illustrations using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.
Collaborate with team members to translate concepts into visually appealing designs that align with project goals.
Utilize Figma for prototyping and creating user-friendly interfaces.
Manage and optimize web servers and tools, including Internet Information Services (IIS) and Webmaster Tools.
Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and are optimized for performance and usability.
Work closely with stakeholders to refine designs and incorporate feedback into the final product.
Contribute to team dynamics by sharing ideas and supporting a cohesive work environment.
Address backlog tasks, ensuring timely delivery of all assigned projects.
Provide technical insights and creative solutions to improve design workflows.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design roles.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat.
Strong skills in Figma for interface design and prototyping.
Familiarity with web publishing platforms such as Drupal and web server tools like IIS.
Excellent understanding of digital illustration, web layouts, and graphic design principles.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining an entrepreneurial mindset.
Competence in Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint and Word, with knowledge of Teams.
Experience using both Mac and PC operating systems for design work.
