WINK News is seeking a dynamic
Traffic Anchor/MMJ
to deliver live, accurate traffic reports during our morning newscasts while also producing high-quality news content across broadcast, digital, and social platforms. This role combines a strong on-air presence with the ability to report, shoot, write, and edit stories under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver live, engaging traffic updates on road conditions, accidents, and commuter impacts
Provide real-time updates across broadcast, digital, and social platforms
Report on breaking news and enterprise stories as an MMJ
Shoot, write, edit, and present news stories
Perform live shots and develop story ideas relevant to the community
Collaborate with newsroom staff and contribute to daily editorial coverage
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 2–3 years of on‑air reporting/anchoring experience
Strong storytelling, writing, and ad‑lib skills
Ability to work independently as an MMJ
Proficiency with newsroom and traffic systems
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of equipment
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in outdoor conditions
Ability to travel to various locations for story coverage
