Who We're Looking For Reporting to the Director, Communications, we are seeking a Communications Specialist to support the development and execution of the company’s external and internal communications strategy.

The role will support global media relations that drive awareness, shape brand perception, and influence how MANSCAPED shows up across culture and conversation.

The ideal candidate brings excellent writing skills, sharp media instincts, and a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset and thrives in a fast‑paced environment while growing within a consumer‑focused brand‑led organization.

Responsibilities

Support the execution of external communications strategies across product launches, campaigns, partnerships, and key brand moments.

Draft compelling press materials including pitches, press releases, messaging documents, briefing materials, and press kits.

Proactively pitch media and cultivate relationships with consumer, business, and industry journalists.

Manage incoming editorial requests and coordinate timely internal approvals and responses.

Facilitate product shipments and oversee press sample tracking and fulfillment.

Support executive visibility and thought leadership initiatives, including developing talking points, drafting bylines, and identifying media and speaking opportunities.

Identify and manage award opportunities, maintain submission calendars, and draft nominations.

Maintain and update press lists, media trackers, reporting dashboards, and media databases.

Partner cross‑functionally with Marketing, Creative, Legal, E‑Commerce, and Retail teams to support integrated PR initiatives and aligned messaging.

Contribute to monthly reporting, track performance against PR and broader Marketing KPIs.

Monitor media trends and cultural moments to inform proactive outreach strategies.

Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in public relations or communications, with direct experience pitching and working with journalists.

Familiarity with international media outreach is a plus.

Experience supporting consumer brands within grooming, beauty, CPG or lifestyle categories preferred.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain media relationships across lifestyle, trade, business, and culture verticals.

Strong analytical skills and comfort managing reporting, media tracking, shipment coordination, and performance analytics.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt messaging across audiences.

Proficiency in PR tools and databases; experience with platforms such as Muck Rack, Business Wire, and Brandwatch preferred.

Highly organized, accountable, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
