Job Summary The Social Media Coordinator works closely with the Digital Marketing Strategist to help Northrop Realty agents build authentic, engaging online presences. You assist agents with content development, platform optimization, posting consistency, and hands‑on tasks such as profile setup, troubleshooting, basic video editing, and content formatting. By managing asset libraries, tracking engagement, and staying current on trends and platform updates, you help ensure agents have the tools and guidance they need while supporting a consistent, professional, and innovative social media presence for Northrop Realty.

Implements and supports social media strategies developed by the Digital Marketing Strategist

Provide guidance and training to Northrop Realty real estate agents on social media best practices, content strategies, and personal branding

Assist agents in planning and developing social media campaigns aligned with their business goals and quarterly marketing initiatives

Maintain a social media content calendar

Escalate comments/messages when appropriate; Escalate strategic/advanced social media questions to the Digital Marketing Strategist

Support onboarding sessions specifically related to social media

Assist with formatting and preparing content for multiple social media platforms

Maintain social media asset libraries

Draft captions for social media posts

Support agents in maintaining consistent posting habits and provide reminders or guidance when needed

Assist with implementation and monitoring of paid social campaigns under the direction of the Digital Marketing Strategist

Assist marketing with agent social media requests when available

Support agents in developing engaging and authentic content, including images, short‑form videos, captions, and storytelling

Provide troubleshooting and technical support to agents across platforms including Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube

Assist agents in establishing or expanding their social media presence and growing their online audience

Compile performance reports and analytics summaries for leadership and marketing initiatives

Assist in compiling social media analytics and engagement data for reporting purposes

Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure social media strategies align with broader marketing initiatives and campaigns

Assist with capturing photo and video content at brokerage events and supporting real‑time event coverage

Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and resource guides addressing common social media questions and best practices

Provide basic video editing support for agent marketing and social media content

Live the Northrop Realty values in all interactions and communications

Video editing experience with Capcut, TikTok, Edits, Instagram

Experience managing accounts on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn

Experience with Asana, Canva, and Meta Business Suite

Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends (a non‑typical Monday‑Friday schedule)

In‑depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Meta, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios. Also has a working knowledge of social media tools (i.e., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Sked Social, etc.) and monitoring and reporting services

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field preferred

2+ years of experience in social media marketing; real estate experience a plus

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds at times

Travel Required

Must be willing and able to travel to Northrop Realty events and between offices

Must maintain reliable transportation

The compensation for this position ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 annually, which equates to an hourly rate between $24.04 and $28.85.
