Gotham is looking for a Senior Art Director/Designer with a solid background in beauty or fashion to join our team. This role is a rare opportunity to shape the visual identity of a prestige skincare brand that is transitioning into direct-to-consumer marketing for the first time.
What you’ll do:
Partner with copywriter and strategy team to develop big ideas for quarterly brand shoots and new product launches
Translate strategic briefs into compelling concepts, visual narratives, and campaign ecosystems
Design and deliver consumer-facing creative including:
Emails targeting specific demographics
Digital banners and website assets (including PDP content for third party retailers and owned DTC channels)
Presentation decks and creative rationale
Collaborate with account, strategy, and production teams to define deliverables and asset lists, guiding clients through the process of scoping and prioritizing needs
Present creative confidently to agency leadership and clients
Oversee execution on set, ensuring creative excellence from pre‑production through final delivery
Stay up to date on beauty and DTC design trends to maintain a distinctive, elevated brand presence
The ideal candidate combines conceptual strength, hands‑on design expertise, production know‑how, and the confidence to navigate client collaboration with clarity.
What we’re looking for:
5+ years of art direction and design experience, with demonstrated expertise in the beauty or fashion category
Innate conceptual thinker with a clear creative point of view
Experience leading on‑set creative direction for photoshoots and/or video content
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple contributors; comfortable navigating ambiguity, defining deliverables, and translating client needs into actionable creative outputs
Detail‑oriented with the capacity to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
Crisp and concise communicator with excellent presentation skills
Portfolio of conceptual work for review, along with proven proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Suite, are a must

The salary range for this position is $90,000-110,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
