Junior Estimator

Yardnique is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Estimator to support our Landscape Construction team. This role is ideal for someone looking to begin a career in construction estimating, transition from field operations into an office-based role or grow into project management.

Key Responsibilities:
Review landscape plans, construction drawings, and project specifications
Perform quantity take-offs using estimating software and digital plan tools
Enter take-off data into Yardnique’s proposal and bidding systems
Assist senior estimators with project pricing and cost analysis
Organize and maintain accurate bid documents and project files
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain material pricing
Develop knowledge of landscape materials, installation methods, and construction sequencing
Support the preparation of accurate, competitive proposals aligned with company margin goals
Qualifications: Required
Ability to read measurements and accurately scale construction plans
Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly
Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
Strong work ethic and accountability
Interest in construction, landscaping, or the building trades
Basic math proficiency
Preferred
Experience reading construction or landscape drawings
Landscape, construction, or outdoor labor experience
Previous estimating or quantity take-off experience
Experience with Aspire software (strong plus)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
