
Digital Asset Manager

Our client in the consumer products industry is seeking a contract Digital Asset Management Librarian to manage, streamline, and optimize digital content created for/by the organization. This role will enable brand consistency and messaging through asset updates and reinforcement of brand guidelines to provide a single source of truth for digital content within the business and a more consistent user experience for all audiences.
Specifically, this position will support a new brand acquisition migration, moving assets from two external systems into the company’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform.
Contract: 4/6/26 - 7/24/26
Max pay rate: $32.67/hr.
Onsite in Minneapolis, MN
Contractor would need to supply laptop
Duties & Responsibilities
Undergo internal DAM training to understand systems, taxonomy, and metadata tagging requirements.
Migrate assets: batch and download images from external sites to an internal drive, rename them to fit company naming conventions, resize if necessary, and upload, tag appropriate metadata, and publish in DAM.
Work closely with the librarian team to understand project scope, requirements, and receive support as needed.
Maintain project tracker and provide regular updates to the Senior Librarian and Marketing Operations Manager.
As needed, manage content in the DAM platform outside of the primary migration project (includes but is not limited to asset uploads, collection maintenance, taxonomy management, metadata tagging, asset aggregation functionality, search/indexing, etc.).
Skills & Qualifications
1–3 years of digital asset management experience with an enterprise-level DAM, taxonomy management, and metadata tagging.
Knowledge of wide-ranging file formats and specifications including still, video, social, 3D, web content, etc.
Solid knowledge of web publishing, content management systems, and Digital Rights Management (DRM) best practices/standards.
Well-organized individual with ability to give attention to detail in a highly creative, fast-paced environment and ability to work independently and manage own workload.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to effectively collaborate in a global, cross-functional team environment.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Library & Information Science or combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
Experience with pet product, food, and/or retail taxonomies preferred.
Experience with Sitecore DAM preferred.
Background in content migration, brand acquisitions, or brand divestitures preferred.
