A leading law firm is seeking a highly motivated
Business Development Senior Specialist
to support the firm's strategic growth initiatives. This role will work closely with attorneys, practice group leaders, and the marketing team to drive business development efforts, strengthen client relationships, and enhance the firm's market presence. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a law firm or professional services environment and a strong understanding of business development within the legal industry.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with attorneys and practice group leaders to develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with the firm's growth objectives.
Identify opportunities for new business, cross-selling, and client expansion across practice areas.
Prepare high-quality proposals, RFP responses, pitches, and client presentations.
Conduct market, client, and competitor research to support business development initiatives and identify emerging opportunities.
Assist with the development of targeted marketing campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, and client outreach strategies.
Track and analyze business development activities, pipeline opportunities, and key performance metrics.
Coordinate attorney participation in industry events, conferences, and client programs to strengthen visibility and relationships.
Maintain and update CRM systems to ensure accurate tracking of contacts, opportunities, and client interactions.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams on branding, content development, and promotional initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
5+ years of business development or marketing experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
Demonstrated experience supporting attorneys with pitches, proposals, and client development initiatives.
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal marketing and proposal tools is a plus.
Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with attorneys, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting multiple practice groups or industry teams within a law firm.
Strategic mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business development initiatives.
Strong research and analytical capabilities.
