
Forecast Analyst

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Forecast Planning Analyst to join our client's organization in the South Elgin, IL area.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, analyze, and maintain demand forecasts to support supply chain, inventory, and production planning.
Analyze historical data, trends, and business inputs to improve forecast accuracy and reduce variability.
Select and maintain appropriate forecasting models using scenario analysis and available planning tools.
Facilitate forecast review and consensus meetings with cross‑functional stakeholders such as sales, operations, purchasing, and logistics.
Monitor forecast performance and recommend adjustments to align with changing business conditions.
Support inventory optimization efforts by identifying risks related to stockouts, excess inventory, or demand volatility.
Create and maintain forecasting processes, procedures, and work instructions to improve planning efficiency.
Provide data analysis, reporting, and insights to support decision‑making and special projects.
Identify process improvement opportunities that drive cost savings, service‑level improvements, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment between demand plans, supply plans, and business objectives.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
Experience in forecasting, demand planning, supply chain analysis, or a related analytical role.
Working knowledge of demand forecasting methodologies, including statistical and collaborative approaches.
Proficiency with ERP and planning systems and familiarity with MRP or inventory planning modules.
Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with large data sets.
Experience using forecasting, statistical, or data analysis tools is a plus.
Understanding of supply chain and financial principles related to inventory, planning, and cost optimization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.
Highly organized, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
