Join our Kindercamp team this summer! The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking a Site Director with a passion for guiding children through fun, enriching activities. Strong customer service skills and a positive work attitude are a must, as you will be a role model for little ones. Help build an environment where children can sing camp songs, explore the world with nature walks, and learn about arts and humanities. We also offer extensive training and learning opportunities to allow teachers to advance in their early childhood career.
The salary is based on experience and availability plus a 10% salary bonus for staff who are bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities
Acts as a Lead Teacher and a Program Administrator in a shared capacity based on the program’s needs.
Acts as a Substitute Director as needed to maintain licensing requirements.
Manages, directs, and coordinates Preschool/Kindercamp operations when the Senior Program Directoris absent, on leave, or in an interim role in the event of staff turnover. Ensures high-quality programsand establishes new programs and enrollment growth. Expands program within the community inaccordance with strategic and operating plans.
Recruits, hires, trains, develops schedules, and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviewsand evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals while ensuringadequate training is delivered/completed in multiple methods, including Training Home.
Ensures high-quality preschool curriculum, educational standards are met, and data is trackedappropriately for all students. Ensures compliance with all contracts and Colorado Shines.
Works in conjunction with the Executive Director, Senior Program Director, and YMCA YESS Partners toensure payments are collected and CCAP ATS systems are maintained.
Assures compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program areas. Ensures that YMCAprogram standards are met, and safety procedures followed.
Conducts Quality Assurance Checks for all sites using checklists from Colorado Childcare Licensing, State and Local Health Departments, Colorado Shines, CPP, and other partner agencies.
Provides for the upkeep of Preschool and equipment and ensures the physical environment supportssafety practices aligning with YMCA, Health Department, and CDHS standards.
Develops and maintains relationships with state childcare licensing agency, school administration,parent groups, and other organizations and agencies related to assigned programs. Responds to allagency, parent, and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
Provides staff leadership for the annual fundraising campaign, committees, and other Board functionsas assigned.
Shops for supplies and materials as needed for Preschool sites and utilizes Community Food Share on aweekly basis.
Works directly with the Senior Program Director and Executive Director to develop and implementcommunity-based early learning opportunities at all YMCA branches.
Maintains proper records/department files, including staff training hours, as required by HumanResources and CDHS. Also assigns, audits, and maintains staff files in Training Home.
Organizes and participates in Association special meetings and events.
Assists in the marketing development, marketing events, and distribution of program informationworking in collaboration with the Marketing department.
Compiles program statistics, including parent surveys. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of andparticipation in the program.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum age requirements of 21.
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or equivalent - Must be Director qualified by the Stateof Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care division.
Minimum 2 years' experience working with Preschool-aged/Kindergarten aged children in asupervisory role.
Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completing Child Abuse Prevention for SupervisoryStaff; Working with Program Volunteers; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens.
Ability to work with a wide range of age groups, demographics and have t h e ability to collaboratewith a number of groups and individuals.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments ofthe community.
Experience in multiple site management, understanding of child development principles anddevelopmentally appropriate practices, understanding of the state-licensed program, and experiencewith fiscal management and staff development.
Ability to meet YMCA driver requirements.
Ability and desire to embrace the mission of the YMCA.
