Oasis Golf Club & Conference Center is seeking an experienced, motivated Golf Course Superintendent to lead agronomic operations at one of the Cincinnati area’s most unique and well-loved golf facilities. This opportunity comes as our longtime superintendent prepares for retirement, creating an exciting chance for a new leader to build on a strong foundation and help shape the next chapter of the club.
Located just outside Cincinnati, Oasis Golf Club offers a challenging and scenic golf experience paired with a vibrant conference and event center. The golf course has recently undergone significant course renovations and improvements, including greenside bunker renovations and ongoing course enhancements, making this an exciting time to join the team and continue elevating course conditions and playability.
We are looking for a superintendent who takes pride in their craft, leads with professionalism, and enjoys collaborating with club leadership to deliver exceptional course conditions and a great member and guest experience.
The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for the overall maintenance, agronomic health, and presentation of the golf course and grounds, including leadership of the maintenance team, agronomic planning, budgeting, equipment oversight, and environmental stewardship.
The superintendent will work closely with club leadership to ensure the golf course consistently delivers outstanding playing conditions while maintaining efficient and sustainable operations.
Key Responsibilities Course & Grounds Management
Direct all maintenance and agronomic practices for the golf course and grounds
Maintain exceptional playing conditions for tees, fairways, greens, bunkers, and practice areas
Continue to enhance the course following recent renovation work, including greenside bunker improvements
Develop and execute agronomic programs for turf health, pest management, and irrigation
Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, train, and lead the golf course maintenance staff
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork
Schedule and supervise daily maintenance operations
Planning & Budget Management
Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget
Oversee chemical, fertilizer, and supply purchasing
Monitor labor and material costs while maintaining high course standards
Equipment & Irrigation Management
Ensure proper maintenance of all golf course equipment
Oversee irrigation system performance and water management strategies
Communicate regularly with club leadership regarding course conditions and projects
Coordinate with golf operations to support tournaments, outings, and events
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and industry partners
Educational Requirements
Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field preferred
Experience Requirements
3–5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
Strong knowledge of turfgrass management practices and agronomic programs
Experience managing and developing maintenance teams
Pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain)
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Able to meet and perform physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position
Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
