This position is responsible for leading a team of crew members in carrying out the day-to-day needs of the project by ensuring safety, quality workmanship, production, and overall project success. Coordinate with crew members, superintendents, and project managers to manage scheduling, scope of work, and daily jobsite activities, including communicating any scope changes before execution. Lead and support crew performance and development, ensuring productivity, accountability, and proper time tracking while resolving any timesheet discrepancies. Document daily jobsite activity including production, quality control, and jobsite updates through accurate daily logs. Communicate and coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and other trades to resolve issues and keep work progressing smoothly. Manage jobsite readiness, materials, and equipment, including weather monitoring, end-of-day job protection, inventory coordination, and proper maintenance/storage of tools, vehicles, and trailers. Enforce OSHA safety standards and jobsite compliance while maintaining a safe and professional work environment. Maintain project schedules and production goals to ensure projects stay on time and within labor hour targets. Participate in pre-construction meetings and job walkthroughs to ensure clear project expectations and alignment before work begins. Required Skills and Abilities
OSHA 30 hour training (preferred)/OSHA 10 hour certification (minimum required) Obtain required certificates for operating equipment Must be able to obtain security clearance on military job sites Familiar with SMACNA standards and details Willingness to learn new systems Ability to understand shop drawings and site plans Proficient math skills for calculating building areas, lengths, heights, and accurately using a tape measure Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Demonstrated time-management and organizational skills Self-motivated Detail-oriented Hard-working Embody and model company values of Family Culture, JR Attitude (humility, teachable), Extreme Ownership, Grow or Die (growth mindset, motivated, innovative) Represent the company in a positive manner at all times Demonstrate respect to customers, supervisors, and team members, communicating all concerns in a professional manner Adhere to standards of conduct and company policies at all times Education and Experience
Minimum 3 years construction experience Minimum 3-5 years roofing specific experience Experience working with metal roofing, coping, and the above, listed materials Work Environment/Physical Requirements
Pass initial drug test and participate in random drug test program Willing to travel Ability to perform elevated work (work on rooftops, heights) Frequently lift and carry 50lbs or greater Frequent bending, kneeling, walking Outdoor environment in all types of weather (8+ hours per day) Overtime and weekend work Ability to Relocate
