Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Service Sales Business Development Manager to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will be responsible for accelerating the growth of our recurring service agreement revenue while also leading and coaching a team of dedicated Service Account Executives. This is a player-coach role, combining direct business development responsibilities with people leadership.

What You’ll Do
Grow Recurring Revenue:
Lead efforts to expand recurring service agreements across targeted markets, verticals, and customers. Personally drive business development efforts while ensuring the team meets new service agreement bookings goals.
Coach and Lead Service Account Executives:
Serve as a mentor, coach, and leader for Service Account Executives. Ensure clarity in strategy, accountability, and performance expectations for each team member.
Customer and Market Expansion:
Identify and pursue new service agreement opportunities within existing accounts including project attach, T&M only customers, cross-sell/up-sell, and new logo capture. Participate in customer business reviews to drive service growth. Expected results: Strategic plans are in place; execution results in closed net new service agreement bookings.
Build and Manage High-Quality Pipeline:
Work with decision makers to assess needs, gain agreement on the business case for service, demonstrate why Convergint is uniquely qualified, present proposals, negotiate, and close deals. Expected results: Maintain a pipeline at 3-4:1 over target.
Retention:
Assist in strategic renewals to ensure retention and long‑term growth and stability of the service agreement base.
Collaboration:
Partner closely with Sales Managers to establish clear Account Executive/Service Account Executive guidelines, account ownership rules, and collaboration expectations that maximize customer coverage and service growth.
Other Responsibilities
Drive collaboration across Convergint offices and vertical teams for cross-sell
Support recruiting efforts for additional Service Account Executives as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What You’ll Need
Expertise in selling service agreements (recurring revenue), preferably within the building services or systems integration space.
Proven history of prospecting, developing, and acquiring new customers, including executive-level relationship building.
Demonstrated ability to sell consultatively, focusing on value creation and aligning Convergint's solutions to the customer's broader business outcomes.
Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence, inspire, and collaborate across teams – while driving accountability and results.
High levels of grit, adaptability, and flexibility – comfortable working through ambiguity and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex solutions into clear, customer-relevant narratives.
Strong financial and analytical acumen.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other sales productivity tools.

Requirements: Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience: 5-7 years sales including 2 years in commercial (electronic security, fire alarm, systems integration)
• The anticipated compensation of this position is $104,700 - $167,500 annual base salary.
