We’re seeking an experienced part-time Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our dynamic team and help drive new business within several verticals that deploy lone workers.
Role Description We are looking for a motivated and skilled Business Development Representative (BDR) with prior experience generating prospect lists, making initial contact with prospects, and scheduling demonstrations of the KATANA solution, resulting in new business for the company. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams to engage prospects, create awareness about our solutions, and drive the sales pipeline. This individual will have the opportunity to own the full sales cycle with unlimited potential for growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Research and create prospect lists for companies throughout the United States.
Qualification of Leads: Use a consultative approach to qualify prospects, ensuring alignment with their operations and our offerings.
Outreach: Initiate outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach to build relationships with prospects and drive engagement.
Market Intelligence: Stay up to date on opportunities across states that create incentives for companies to adopt lone worker safety solutions.
CRM Management: Accurately track and manage all activities, interactions, and pipeline progress in our CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Collaboration with Sales Team**: Work closely with Account Executives and other members of the sales team to schedule meetings, set appointments, and support the closing process.
Reporting: Provide regular updates on lead generation activity, pipeline status, and key insights to senior management.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a BDR or in a similar sales development role.
Communication Skills**: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), email marketing tools, and other sales development technologies.
Research & Analytical Skills: Strong ability to research and identify new opportunities and generate meaningful and actionable prospect lists.
Goal-Oriented: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales development targets, working in a high-performance, quota-driven environment.
Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges in the sales process and provide creative solutions to improve prospect-generating efficiency.
Adaptability and Initiative: Ability to quickly learn and implement lessons as opportunities are discovered.
