Citizens is seeking a talented sponsorship and experiential marketing professional to join our sponsorship team. In this role, you will support the execution of high-profile brand partnerships and sponsorships that enhance brand visibility, deepen customer relationships, and deliver meaningful business impact.
The Brand Partner will play a critical role in bringing integrated sponsorship programs to life. This role supports the planning, activation, and measurement of Citizens’ sponsorship portfolio, with a strong focus on endurance sports and community-driven partnerships. The AVP will collaborate closely with sponsorship property partners, internal teams, and external vendors to plan and execute high-impact, integrated sponsorship activations.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented marketing professional with knowledge and experience executing events and sponsorships within the sports and entertainment industry; endurance sponsorship experience is a plus. The position is ideal for a collaborative self-starter who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is eager to grow within a dynamic marketing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Support the day‑to‑day execution of Citizens’ endurance sponsorships in NYC, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and aligned with brand guidelines.
Assist with the planning and activation of major partnerships, including New York Road Runners, the Citizens Queens 10K, and the TCS New York City Marathon.
Help manage Citizens running platform, Team Citizens, including runner communications, inbox support, engagement initiatives, and event coordination.
Support the annual Team Citizens bib allocation and registration process for internal and external runners, including coordination with business lines and race organizers.
Coordinate with internal teams (brand, product, social, corporate affairs) and external sponsorship and agency partners to support seamless event execution.
Oversee colleague volunteer efforts across the Citizens NYRR race footprint, ensuring strong engagement and smooth execution at sponsored events.
Help track performance metrics and contribute to post‑event recaps and reporting.
Support the creation and implementation of new activation tactics and vendors that help advance programs and re‑marketing efforts.
This job will require periodic travel to provide hands‑on support at sponsored events and race‑day experiences, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in sponsorship marketing, experiential marketing, or event management.
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Marketing, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Strong organizational & project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and with external partners, including engaging with community members.
Passion for sports/running and community engagement is a plus.
Ability to work nights and weekends, travel as required and represent the brand at key events.
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: M‑F 8‑5 in Westwood MA office 4 days remote 1 day.
Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is $80,000‑$90,000 per year. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
