Job Description
This is a temporary to permanent position. This is a project/limited term position with the opportunity to become an internal staff position, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
Responsible for leading the operational execution of World Cup coverage from the PCR. Oversee content, scheduling, international logistics, coordination between editorial and technical teams, and ensure compliance with live broadcast standards. Must have prior experience with major sports events and strong knowledge of soccer and FIFA tournament dynamics.
Qualifications
Operational Leadership
Lead the day‑to‑day execution of World Cup coverage from the Production Control Room (PCR)
Ensure all production elements are prepared, coordinated, and delivered on time.
Manage and troubleshoot live control room operations during broadcasts.
Content & Editorial Coordination
Supervise content flow, ensuring alignment with editorial strategy and broadcast objectives.
Coordinate with producers, editors, and directors to maintain consistent storytelling and high‑quality output.
Review scripts, rundowns, and segment plans for accuracy and timing.
Scheduling & Logistics
Oversee daily and long‑term production schedules related to World Cup programming.
Coordinate international logistics, including crew movements, time zone management, resource allocation, and communication with teams abroad.
Ensure all technical and editorial departments are fully aligned with schedule changes.
Cross‑Team Collaboration
Act as a central liaison between editorial teams, technical crews, engineering, and operations.
Facilitate smooth communication during fast‑paced and evolving coverage environments.
Support real‑time decision‑making during live broadcasts.
Broadcast Standards & Compliance
Maintain adherence to network broadcast standards and technical requirements.
Oversee quality control of all on‑air elements, including graphics, audio, and video feeds.
Ensure best practices for live transmission, emergency adjustments, and risk mitigation.
Demonstrated experience managing high‑profile live sports events.
Strong knowledge of soccer, FIFA tournament structure, and international football coverage.
Proven ability to manage complex logistics under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication, leadership, and real‑time problem‑solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced broadcast environment.
