
Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing both online and offline training programs, as well as knowledge-sharing materials. This role involves working closely with subject matter experts to create engaging and effective content for a variety of audiences. The Instructional Designer will also act as a sparring partner for functional trainers, providing guidance, instructional materials, and notes to support effective training delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Content Design and Development
Design and develop engaging, high-quality content for online and offline training programs. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training materials. Adapt learning materials to suit a variety of delivery methods, including e-learning, instructor-led sessions, and blended learning. Trainer Support
Act as a sparring partner for functional trainers, providing them with trainer instruction materials, notes, and guidance to enhance training delivery. Support trainers in designing effective training experiences, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Instructional Design Best Practices
Apply instructional design principles and methodologies to ensure that training programs meet learning objectives. Continuously improve and update training materials based on feedback and evolving business needs. Collaboration with Learning & Development Team
Work closely with the Learning & Development team to align instructional design efforts with overall training initiatives. Collaborate with other departments to create tailored learning solutions that meet specific business needs. Program Evaluation and Improvement
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback. Make recommendations for improvements to ensure continuous enhancement of learning experiences. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in instructional design, content development, or a related role. Experience with e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate, Captivate, or similar. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with subject matter experts and trainers. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, or a related field. Experience in corporate training or professional services environments. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning technologies. Certification in instructional design or training development (e.g., CPTD, ATD). Performance Metrics
Training Program Quality:
Measured by the effectiveness of training programs based on feedback from trainers and learners. Trainer Support Effectiveness:
Success in providing trainers with high-quality instructional materials and guidance. Content Development Timeliness:
Measured by the timely completion of content creation and updates in alignment with project timelines. Learning Outcome Achievement:
Success in achieving defined learning objectives and improving participant performance.
