Experience Needed to Be Successful
5–7+ years of Graphic Design experience with evidence of formal training
Strong layout, publication, and graphics design skills
Adobe Creative Cloud – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and PowerPoint experience
Experience with Lightform Creator, Aquia Widen Hub, Brightcove, and digital asset management systems
Experience with Tableau; ability to create dynamic/interactive maps from a data source
Experience with video production, web content, and social media
Knowledge of traditional and digital formats (including 3‑D)
Confidence providing technical and/or artistic advice to staff about visual information
Experience creating wireframe mockups of new content for external sites
Flexibility to pivot creative direction with ease
Ability to work directly with clients, especially agency leadership
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail
Time management
Efficiency in creative work
Collaborative mindset
Strong understanding of design principles and branding
Skill with document layout, promotional graphics, and infographics
Illustration skill is a plus
Knowledge of Drupal is a plus
Still photography and photo editing skills are a plus
Qualifications – Basic
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Additional years of experience can substitute for a degree – Yes
No required certifications
Minimum overall experience: 5 years
Minimum experience in field: 5 years
Minimum clearance to start: Public Trust
