Are you a creative communicator who enjoys crafting compelling stories, engaging audiences and bringing meaningful experiences to life through digital and print media? Hesston College is seeking a communications coordinator who can help share the Hesston story and connect with prospective students, alumni and the broader community.
In this full-time, benefits-eligible role, you will collaborate with the marketing and communications team and departments across campus to implement strategic communication efforts that support enrollment, strengthen relationships and elevate the Hesston College brand.
Reporting to the director of marketing and communications, the communications coordinator will play a central role in shaping the college’s voice across multiple platforms. From developing communication flows for prospective students to leading the college’s social media presence, this position helps ensure that Hesston’s story is shared with clarity, creativity and purpose.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage communication flows for prospective students from inquiry through acceptance, including domestic and international audiences
Create engaging email, print and text communications aligned with Hesston College’s mission and brand voice
Lead the college’s social media presence, including content creation, event coverage, audience engagement and trend monitoring
Write press releases, campus news stories and feature articles for the alumni magazine
Collaborate with departments across campus to highlight programs, events and student experiences
Assist with campus copy center operations and in-house printing projects

A strong storyteller who communicates clearly and creatively across platforms
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with a commitment to brand consistency and quality writing
Comfortable working with digital tools, social media analytics and communication workflows
A collaborative team member who enjoys connecting with people and sharing their stories
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree with relevant experience considered
Experience in writing, communications, marketing or a related field preferred
