In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, selecting, and pricing excess casualty risks for a wide range of commercial accounts. You will work closely with wholesale brokers to develop relationships, assess risk exposures, and structure competitive insurance solutions that align with company underwriting guidelines and profitability goals.\nKey Responsibilities\nUnderwrite and price new and renewal excess casualty business in accordance with company guidelines and risk appetite.\nAnalyze complex risks across various industries, including transportation, manufacturing, hospitality, construction and other high-hazard sectors.\nAssess policy terms, conditions, and coverage structures to provide tailored solutions to wholesale brokers.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with wholesale brokers to drive profitable growth.\nNegotiate terms and pricing with brokers while ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines.\nCollaborate with internal teams, including claims, actuarial, and risk management, to evaluate risk and policy performance.\nStay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks affecting the E&S marketplace.\nContribute to strategic initiatives, product development, and underwriting best practices to enhance team efficiency.\nQualifications\nExperience:

3+ years of experience in excess casualty underwriting within the E&S insurance industry. Applicants with prior excess experience in mid-market or large commercial will also be considered.\nSkills:

Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.\nIndustry Knowledge:

Deep understanding of risk assessment, policy forms, and coverage structures in the excess casualty space.\nRelationships:

Portfolio Management:

Oversees a portfolio of brokers, agents, and clients, leveraging market insights to develop and maintain profitable business. Acts as a trusted representative of Liberty Mutual in all interactions.\nMarket Presence & Relationship Building:

Maintains strong relationships with agents and brokers, actively seeking opportunities to deepen existing partnerships and cultivate new ones.\nStrategic Contribution:

Provides input on product development and participates in execution strategies. Contributes to team initiatives such as process and tool enhancements.\nRegulatory Awareness:
