Job Description

Responsibilities
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Training Orientation and training will be provided on the job.
Communication Skills
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
Perform accurate and quick mental calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and use a calculator when necessary.
Make correct monetary change.
Use verbal, written and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Coordinate motor skills between eyes and hands/fingers for precise and rapid movements.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
Exposure to varying and adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F and above in some work areas.
Exposure to food fumes, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Cramped quarters, including walk‑in coolers, and sudden temperature changes in work areas and while outside.
Sensory Requirements
Good hearing for telephone and in‑store communication.
Near and mid‑range vision with depth perception for most tasks.
Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Physical Demands
Standing:
Most tasks are performed from a standing position; work surfaces are 36–48 inches high.
Walking:
Short distances for short durations.
Sitting:
Paperwork normally completed at a desk or table.
Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries include cases up to 50 pounds and may be stacked up to 72 inches high.
Carrying:
Large cans (≈3 lb 7 oz) and other items such as pizza sauce (≈30 lb) are carried from the workstation to storage.
Pushing/Pulling:
Trays on dollies weighing 24–30 lbs require up to 7.5 pounds force.
Climbing:
Infrequent navigation of stairs or ladders for maintenance tasks.
Bending:
Forward bending at the waist (approx. 30‑45 sec at a time, repeated throughout the day) is required at the pizza assembly station, front counter, and when stocking ingredients.
Crouching/Squatting:
Occasional work to stock shelves and clean low areas.
