Wbtv is looking for an experienced, creative, and talented storyteller to shoot and edit for daily news. We're looking for a self-motivated, positive-thinking, excellent communicator who can work independently and as part of a team.

Primary duties include gathering video, interviews, editing for broadcast and digital/social platforms, setting up/executing multiple live shots per shift, and other duties as assigned. We encourage growth through individual feedback and collaborative critiques with our Chief Photographer and group Show & Tell sessions. Experience with camera operation and non-linear editing is required. A drone license or interest in obtaining your license is a huge plus.

Duties/Responsibilities (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Gather video, interviews, and information for news stories, both individually and as part of a reporting team
  • Edit video for broadcast and digital/social platforms
  • Set up and execute live shots
  • Maintaining assigned gear
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Schedule flexibility is a must. This is a full-time hourly position and may include working overnight, holidays, and weekends as well as some overtime.
