Warehouse Stock Associate
Join our team at Gertens! If you have previous warehouse or stocking experience and enjoy a fast paced environment, you may be who we are looking for! As a Stock Associate you will load and unload freight by hand or with the use of a forklift, stage outgoing pallets for delivery, and maintain accurate inventory. Season: March - June Schedule: Monday - Friday 7a - 330p with occasional OT Candidates must be at least 18 years of age or older to apply and successfully complete a background search and Non THC drug test prior to starting. What else can you expect as part of our team? Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Assist with maintaining accuracy inventory and audits. Deliver items to appropriate departments and/or locations. Review outgoing product to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Perform all Warehouse functions within each department. Maintain and monitor cleanliness of employees' working area. Ensure that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Ability to work overtime when needed Ability to operate tier lift truck or hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
