As the WNTO Global indirect Tax (GIT) Senior Manager, you'll address, research, and consult on complex GIT technical issues for a variety of clients. You'll collaborate with the WNTO leaders and staff and work closely with our Tax Solution Families on identifying risk management issues. Your day-to-day may include: Reviewing documentation and computations for client projects including voluntary disclosure agreements, nexus studies, taxability matrices, and transaction related analysis Preparing written tax advice on GIT matters Tracking new developments from state and local jurisdictions with an emphasis on covering GIT issues, and generating thought leadership and service opportunities with respect to these developments Working with other specialty groups on issues that intersect with other federal, international, and state and local tax matters Supporting Firm-wide and external training to enhance the knowledge of Firm professionals and clients in GIT matters Developing tools that will be utilized by our Firm to provide quality service to our clients Other duties as assigned You have the following technical skills and qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university CPA or JD required; LLM in Taxation preferred At least six years of SALT consulting experience at a major public accounting or law firm, with a preference for candidates with experience at a National Tax Office and/or IRS National office Demonstrated success in tax technical work Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet preparation and interpretation Ability to manage and develop staff, in a highly interactive team environment Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities Excellent verbal and written communication skills The base salary range for this position in our Chicago office is between $187,500 to $312,500. The base salary range for this position in our Metro DC, New York, Los Angeles office is between $202,500 to $337,500. The base salary range for this position in our San Jose and San Francisco office is between $215,600 to $359,400.
