Commercial Account Specialist

Positions that we seek may include chemical operators, supervisors, chemists, engineers, and salespersons. We have an immediate opening for a Commercial Account Specialist. This position will be onsite and based out of our Columbus, Ohio plant reporting to our Accounting Manager. This position will be responsible to provide financial, administrative, and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. Responsibilities: Ensures satisfaction and value for our customers through positive interactions and a "can-do" attitude by accommodating delivery times, confirming correct pricing, etc. This position will communicate directly with our customers to facilitate resolution of any issues with input from business operations and production teams. This position will ensure that all sales orders are recorded correctly and communicated to production and shipping in a timely manner. Responsibilities will include providing daily updates to production and shipping to ensure customer needs are met. Ensure sales are invoiced accurately, in the appropriate period and in a timely manner. Additionally, ensures product returns are recorded correctly, and appropriate credits are given to the customer. Responsibilities include ensuring that all shipments from the previous day are invoiced. This process will include confirming that the invoice agrees with the related sales orders and shipping documents. Ensures knowledge of plant and production capacity in order to communicate availability of orders for customers. Attend production meetings at least 3-times per week to stay informed of general plant operation issues. Other duties include answering the general telephone calls, accounts payable and accounts receivable backfill and support, financial reporting support, and miscellaneous office duties. Qualifications / Requirements / Experience: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Desire to be part of a growing business operating in an ever-changing environment High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor's degree in business is a bonus At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
