Company Overview: Facility Contract Services (FCS) is a Florida-based contract services company that employs and manages personnel for municipal clients. Our staffing services include administrative support, clerical, accounting, payroll, billing, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, human resources, supervisory roles, utility services, water and wastewater plant operations, property and general services management, building and landscape maintenance, parks and recreation, and senior and community services. FCS specializes in municipal privatization through a task-based approach aimed at improving productivity and efficiency. Job Summary: Under the general direction of their designated Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of the City's special events, festivals, and community programs. Responsibilities include supporting event logistics, coordinating vendors and participants, utilizing City facilities for events, and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality event operations. The position also involves oversight of event setup and breakdown, on-site supervision, and coordination of staff and volunteers to support successful event delivery. Additionally, the incumbent assists with facility operations on an as-needed basis. Work is reviewed through results, performance evaluations, conferences, and written reports for adherence to established policies and procedures. Responsibilities and Duties: Assists in the planning, coordination, and execution of City-sponsored special events, festivals, and community programs held at municipal facilities. Supports event logistics including site setup, scheduling, vendor coordination, and on-site supervision to ensure successful event operations. Assists in communicating event plans, policies, procedures, and timelines to staff, vendors, volunteers, and participants. Provides customer service to the public by responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive event experience; coordinates public outreach and event promotion efforts. Collaborates with staff, contractors, instructors, and volunteers to support event implementation and overall program delivery. Assists in coordinating and overseeing event-related activities, including athletic events, tournaments, and community-wide special events. Conducts pre- and post-event inspections of facilities and event spaces to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper setup; reports and coordinates maintenance or repair needs as necessary. Assists with procurement, inventory, and distribution of event supplies, materials, and equipment. Provides administrative support related to special events, including documentation, scheduling, and reporting as needed. Qualifications

Required Experience and Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; supplemented by education or experience in Recreation or Leisure Services or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Ability to drive or valid driver's license. Knowledge of the principals and practices of recreation activities and special events. Ability to coordinate, analyze, and utilize a variety of reports and records. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, other agencies, and the public. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Regularly perform tasks that require physical stamina, including prolonged standing, walking, and potentially lifting or carrying objects. Many duties involve these activities, including interacting with participants, supervising activities, and moving around facilities. Positions may require frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and crouching to access equipment, set up activities, or supervise programs. May work in various environments, including indoors, outdoors, and in recreational facilities, potentially requiring adaptation to different weather conditions and environments.
