Location: Oakes Collision Center | Kansas City, MO Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Friday Compensation: Starting at $60,000 annually. About the Role
The Internal Body Shop Estimator supports the collision repair team by inspecting vehicle damage and creating accurate repair plans for technicians. This role focuses on internal shop operations rather than customer-facing estimates, helping ensure vehicles move through the repair process efficiently. Inspect damaged vehicles- Assess vehicle damage and determine the scope of repairs needed. Prepare detailed repair plans - Create accurate internal estimates for labor, parts, and materials using estimating software. Support the production team - Work closely with technicians and shop leadership to ensure repair plans are accurate and complete. Update repair documentation - Adjust estimates when additional damage is discovered and keep repair files organized and up to date. Assist with repair scheduling Help the team maintain an efficient workflow and keep repairs moving through the shop. What We're Looking For
Someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work closely with technicians in a fast-paced shop environment. The right candidate is comfortable using technology, communicates well with the team, and takes pride in creating accurate repair plans that support quality work. Requirements
Valid driver's license with a clean or acceptable driving record Ability to pass a standard background check Strong reliability and consistent attendance Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems Previous collision repair, estimating, or body shop experience preferred but not required About Oakes Auto Group
