The Service & Sales Operations Lead will play a pivotal role in supporting both the Service and Sales departments, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient workflows across teams. This role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and attention to detail. A solid understanding of boats and marina operations is essential to succeed in this position.
The Service & Sales Operations Lead must be driven to achieve results and committed to doing it the “Gordy Way” by always living the company core values, which are built upon work ethic, integrity, teamwork, and having a positive attitude.
Essential Job Duties:
· Pre-Trade inspection
· Trade/consignment process
· Used/consignment boat final check, post inspection and cleaning
· Sales intake on new boats
· Cosmetic inspection on trade/consignment (Techs perform mechanical, and shop inspection is updated and uploaded by this position)
· Used/consignment gear lead
· Sales photos support and logistics
· Boat Shows and customer events lead generator
· Logistics for boat shows and sales events
· “Boat Traffic Controller” for all sales boat and trailer movement
· Sales inventory location management
· Warranty documentation specialist
· Delivery Captain
· Haul & Launch
· Data analyst
· Backup for Lake Country service and sales team
Qualifications:
· Hands-on experience driving, towing, launching, and retrieving boats
· Strong knowledge of boats and marine systems, with the ability to perform basic boat inspections
· Previous experience working directly with boat manufacturers, especially regarding warranty processes and inspection protocols
· Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
· Flexible and adaptable — able to transition seamlessly between roles and responsibilities as needed
· Experience planning and coordinating events, boat shows, and logistics
· Strong background in customer service with a professional and solutions-oriented approach
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to sit for extended periods of time
· Ability to stand and remain active for long durations
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
· Ability to safely enter and exit boats
· Ability to safely utilize ladders as needed
Travel Requirements:
· Will be required to be flexible between working in Fontana (Lakefront & Cobalt Farms) and Lake Country (Delafield & Ixonia) and other locations (if applicable) as needed
Work Schedule Requirements:
· Scheduled days and hours vary based on seasonality and events
· On site to complete location specific tasks
(In season, hours can include weekends, Shows/events can include longer hours)
