About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its regional civic network, which is dedicated to fostering collaboration and advancing systems-level solutions across Southwestern Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and strategic leader with a proven track record in nonprofit or public management, leadership, relationship management, and resource development. This role is pivotal in stewarding the organization's mission, guiding its strategic direction, and maintaining the health and sustainability of the network. The Executive Director will be responsible for day-to-day operations, strategic planning, fiscal oversight, and fundraising, and must be adept at balancing visionary leadership with practical management.
Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include network leadership, convening diverse stakeholders, and overseeing the design and execution of high-impact events. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network leadership, collective impact, and cross-sector collaboration, and will be committed to the power of collaboration in strengthening civic infrastructure and improving outcomes for communities. They should have a strong background in fundraising from diverse sources, be adept at using marketing and communication tools to enhance these efforts, and have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of individuals. The role also requires the ability to work with a Board of Directors, manage a team with transparency and respect, and ensure that the organization's work is effectively communicated to members, partners, funders, and the public.
