About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Portfolio Valuations to lead the valuation process for a diverse range of alternative investments. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing valuation governance, reviewing and challenging complex models, managing external valuation providers, and preparing materials for various stakeholders. This role requires a key technical expert who can also serve as a cross-functional leader within the platform.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in valuation advisory, private credit or equity investing, investment banking, or audit with a strong focus on valuation. A deep understanding of valuation techniques for private and illiquid assets is essential, as is the ability to independently review and challenge complex valuation analyses. The role involves interaction with auditors, regulators, valuation agents, and senior leadership, so excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate valuation conclusions and uncertainties are necessary. The VP will also be involved in project management, process improvement, and training and mentoring junior team members. A CFA designation is preferred.
