Sr. Analyst, Gas Measurement (Natural Gas Utilities)

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Serves as the enterprise authority for natural gas measurement operations and volumetric data governance across the utility system. Establishes system-wide measurement standards, provides final approval for complex billing-impacting adjustments, and ensures the accuracy, regulatory compliance, and contractual defensibility of volumetric reporting supporting financial settlement, regulatory reporting, and audit readiness.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish and govern system-wide measurement configuration standards and data integrity policies.

Provide final approval authority for complex billing-impacting estimates and adjustments.

Own enterprise LUFG program analytics and direct corrective action strategies.

Represent the company in high-impact volumetric settlements, regulatory reviews, and customer disputes.

Lead third-party volume audits and ensure contractual compliance.

Direct commissioning standards for transportation and critical-load measurement assets.

Mentor Analysts and Coordinators and oversee professional development progression.

Lead automation and continuous improvement initiatives across measurement systems.

Establish governance standards for enterprise measurement systems including FLOWCAL and eLynx.

Provide technical leadership for Analysts and Coordinators and serve as the final escalation authority for complex measurement discrepancies and billing-impacting adjustments.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Minimum education required of the position

Preferred: Associate degree in engineering technology, energy systems, or related technical discipline

Minimum experience required of the position

7+ years of measurement, gas control, or gas operations experience, including FLOWCAL/eLynx proficiency

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position

Deep natural gas measurement expertise (instrumentation, gas quality, communications, FLOWCAL logic).

Strong leadership, mentoring, and project management skills.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving ability.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills for customer and third-party settlements.

Ability to drive continuous improvement and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

Preferred: Industry Technical Certifications

Physical Requirements

Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop.

Able to sit for extended periods of time.

Able to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.

Able to exert up to 10 Lbs. of force occasionally, and /or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects.
