
Loan Servicing Specialist

Under minimal supervision, this position requires advanced knowledge of loan servicing and lending processes, with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance. The Department Services Specialist is responsible for reviewing complex loan data, monitoring system reports, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal standards. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position is designed to develop a valued technical expert who can deliver quality work on a consistent basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assist the Loan Servicing Department with daily operations.
Independently review and verify loan data using system reports and internal checklists.
Ensure compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards.
Validate collateral insurance coverage, UCC filings, and Real Estate Title documentation for accuracy.
Monitor loans throughout their lifecycle, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
Perform complex reconciliations across multiple accounts and general ledgers.
Assist branches and loan production offices with advanced loan-related inquiries.
Provide guidance and support to team members as needed.
Assist Management with department oversight, as needed.
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree and/or a combination of education and experience in business, accounting, finance or related field.
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field preferred.
Five years of experience in loan servicing, lending processes or loan administration.
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Word processing, Excel, and loan servicing software systems.
