The Role: We’re looking for a
Growth Marketing Manager
to join Chalkboard and bring our paid social channels in-house while building the systems and strategy required to scale them aggressively and efficiently. In this role you’ll work closely with Paid Media, Creative, Data, Product, and Revenue teams, playing a meaningful part in how millions of fans experience sports in real time. Your Game Plan: Take the ball and run with it, bringing paid social in-house, building a testing machine that never stops improving, and scaling acquisition when the sports calendar heats up.
Level Up Our Game:
Bring ownership of our highest impact paid social channels in house
Increase spend and efficiency across these channels
Bring sharper analysis, projections, and funnel visibility to our performance marketing efforts
Build a cohesive creative strategy that resonates authentically with sports fans
Play Like a Captain:
Balance left‑brain analytical rigor with right‑brain creative instincts
Bring a structured, problem‑solving mindset to every growth challenge
Translate performance insights into clear, actionable recommendations
Raise the bar on experimentation, measurement, and accountability
Ramp spend intelligently around key sports calendars (NBA, NFL, etc.)
We Are Better Together:
Report directly to paid media team, while working cross‑functionally with creative, partnerships, data, product, and revenue teams
Bring proactive communication and shared ownership across Marketing
Align paid social efforts with broader marketing channels (organic, CRM, email, SMS, in‑app messaging)
What You Bring to the Team:
Proven experience managing paid social strategy and execution (agency or brand side), including hands‑on experience in Meta Ads Manager
Strong Excel or Google Sheets proficiency for data analysis
Experience managing large‑scale paid social budgets (ideally scaling toward $2M+/month)
Strong logical reasoning and analytical skills
Ability to design and execute data‑driven marketing experiments
Deep understanding of the full marketing funnel and performance metrics (CPA, LTV)
Ability to apply sports culture and gaming behavior (DFS, betting, fantasy sports) to acquisition strategy
Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, growth‑stage environment
Pro Points:
Experience across additional paid social platforms (TikTok, Reddit, Snapchat, X)
Experience with SQL or other data querying languages
Experience with mobile measurement platforms (AppsFlyer) or attribution tools (Google Analytics)
