Position Summary
As part of the Commercial Intelligence pillar within the FDF Finance Technology team, we are on a platform journey to bring transformation logic currently buried across hundreds of pipelines into a conversational experience. This approach will make the logic transparent, allow users to view lineage, simplify maintenance, and enable simulation of end-to-end impacts before changes are made. What you'll do
As Director Engineering, you will plan and execute platform capabilities in an iterative manner throughout the year. Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment on design, ensure adoption, and deliver value from these capabilities. What you'll bring
A curious, learning-oriented mindset with a strong technical foundation in building, testing, and operating software at scale. The environment processes terabytes of data, so expertise in Big Data, Data Warehousing, Data Lakehouse architectures, AI, and cloud data platforms is essential. The role requires the ability to mentor and coach engineering managers and architects while guiding teams toward a shared north star. Success also depends on effectively influencing stakeholders through conflicting priorities while maintaining a focus on the bigger picture. Alignment with Walmart’s values is foundational. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. 8 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. 3 years' supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock. Benefits
