
Senior Manager, Sales Performance Management

Summary of Job Purpose
The Senior Manager of Sales Compensation is responsible for supporting all aspects of sales compensation for the Field Sales and National Sales roles within corporate and field teams. He/She will work under the leadership of the Sales Compensation Lead to operationalize all processes and tools required to track and manage sales compensation programs. They will support the execution of all field sales compensation changes and participate in the review of business processes to ensure effectiveness and ability to deliver desired results. This position works alongside key stakeholders (corporate, field and market sales leadership, HR, Finance and Revenue Management) to design and implement metrics, routines, and supporting tools to ensure the right activities and behaviors are measured and correlate to financial results.
Duties and Responsibilities This individual will participate in the end‑to‑end design, modeling and communication of performance management processes for all sales pay programs in the field. This will include, but not be limited to:
Assist in the design of performance management routines for both corporate and field sales functions, along with enabling technologies
Partner with analytical resources to identify insights on improvement opportunities in execution of sales pay programs
Participating in all aspects of the Sales Consultant compensation program, including but not limited to annual level change process, development of bonus criteria, and the creation and implementation of any supporting tools to drive behaviors, grow business and protect margin
Work cross functionally with senior executives and learning to drive alignment, accountability, and adherence to performance management routines
Collaborate with sales compensation lead on the annual recommendations of strategic business objectives (SBOs) for Corporate, Market, and Field sales roles
Work closely with Sales Technology Enablement and Learning and Development teams to develop communication, training, and deployment plans to execute performance management routines
Work closely with Business Technology team to create analytics and reporting capabilities to enable performance management routines
Personal Characteristics
Ability to effectively engage in and communicate progress around multiple complex projects
Possesses a deep understanding of the impact that sales compensation programs have on the field and ensure design and implementation approaches that will be embraced by sales leadership teams and frontline associates
Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
Required Minimum Education
High School Diploma
4‑year bachelor’s degree preferred
Required Minimum Experience
5+ years working in foodservice distribution required, with demonstrated understanding in the areas of sales compensation, finance, sales, and field execution
Experience in sales operations initiatives and deployments
Abilities and Skills

Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite of Applications
Work Environment
This position may be located at the headquarters facility in Houston Texas but could be conducted remotely as needed
Up to 10% travel may be required in this role
Must be able to travel on occasion to Sysco facilities or operating companies
