The starting pay range for this position per hour is $24.25 - $26.25. The full pay range for this position per hour is $24.25 - $41.25 Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. ( ALL ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION Assets Protection (AP) teams function to keep our guests, team and brand secure and lead through crisis events. They protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, preventing, theft and fraud to ensure product is available for our guest. They also build relationships inside and outside of Target including store leaders and public safety officials, inclusive of law enforcement. The role of an Assets Protection Team Leader can provide you with the skills and experience of : + Leadingasecurityculture, including crisis response, a strong safety environment and crowd management planning, providing support to both guests and team members + Implementingdaily/weeklyAssets Protectionworkload priorities to support business priorities and deliver on goals + Respondingto externaland internaltheft incidents and preventingfuture theft + Implementingstrategic resolutions of external theft and fraud andapprehendingindividualsattemptingto cause a loss,in accordance withTarget policyand leadershipu2019s guidance + Partnering,educatingand supporting store business leaders on operational shortage priorities + Leading a team of hourly team members,includingleveragingskills ininterviewing, developing,evaluatingandretainingtalent As an Assets Protection Team Leader, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day most likely will include the following responsibilities: + Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience. + Ensures every team member understands, is trained, and consistentlydelivers onTargetu2019s guest experience commitmentsand consistent operations. + Actively observes and provides feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments. + Reviews area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics toidentifyopportunities,takes action to improve, andaligns team on the right behaviors and execution, celebrates wins, drives results that deliver outcomes and elevates the guest experience. + Support total store sales and increase profitability by ensuringproducts arein stock and available to our guests. Welcome and engage guests at the front of the store and on thesalesfloor. + Influence andvalidatephysical security and safety processes;participateinstore response and emergency crisis situations;createsecurityplans for in-store events. + Supportyour leaderineducatingteams on emergency preparedness and physicalsecurity procedures. + Develop,coachand lead your teammembersto elevate theirskills andexpertise,per direction fromyourdirectleader. + Anticipate staffing needsandsupportyourdirectleader toeffectively talentplanaroundaculture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management. + Identifytheft and shortage trends in your store. + Identifyshortage risks in keyareasandsupport yourdirectleaderand leaders across the storeto develop tactics that will reduceshortageand drive profitable sales. + Worka schedule that aligns to guest and business needs based onsecurityand theftpatterns (this includes early morning/overnight shifts,eveningand weekends). + Developteamschedulesandadjustbased onsecurityand theft trendswith leader validation. + Ownthe prevention(inclusive of merchandise protection budgeting), identification and resolution of external theft incidents.Resolve theft using good judgement andconducting apprehensionswhile adhering to policy and procedures. + Initiate, investigate and resolveinternal investigationsas directed byAP leader in your market and/or yourdirectleader. + Educate store leadership on merchandiseprotectionbest practice and audit execution in partnership with key partners. + Implementand follow up onanyoperational changesasdirectedby yourdirectleader. + Support yourdirectleader to educate and support store teams on operational shortage priorities. + Order merchandise protection devices as needed to support theminimumstandards for your store. Review and manage theallocatedbudget and adhere to the guidance in the Merchandise Protection Best Practice on Workbench. + CommunicateAP priorities totheteam,peersand leadership. + Build arelationship of trust and accountabilitywithyour leaderandStoreDirector. + Maintain relationships inside and outside Target, including district and store leaders and law enforcement. + Ensure our teams and tacticsmaintainTargetu2019s reputation. + Collaborate with retail organization partners to analyze industry trends and enhance security for guests and team members. + Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric teamatthe direction of your direct leader. + Supportteam onboarding and learning,and close knowledge and skill gaps through training and experience. + Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct and compliance; lead team to work in the same way and hold others accountable to this commitment. + Hold team members accountabletoexpectationsset by yourdirectleader. + Maintain allrequiredtraining. + Serveas first responder for in-storesafetyincidents (e.g., security, weather, etc.), executing Target's procedures and best practices. + Lead anddemonstratea culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning; help close skill gaps through development,coachingand team interactions. + Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creatingequitableexperiences + Lead anddemonstrateasafety culture through modeling and recognizing safe behaviors,identifyingand correcting hazards in partnership with store leaders,holding team accountable to following safety expectations,assistingwith incident response, and reporting/investigatinginjuriestimelyand accurately. + Executesafety program management routines such as Monthly Safety Meetings/Observations. + Participate in legal proceedings as necessary torepresentTargetu2019s interests. + Model the execution of physical security processesin order toenhance the instore security culture. + Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store, including storage and application as directed by best practices. + Address storeneeds(emergency, regulatory visits, etc.). + All other dutiesbasedon business needs.
