The Director of Preceptor Engagement will be responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of the institution-wide UNMC Preceptor Engagement program and initiatives described in the UNMC Strategic Plan. The Director will serve as a liaison between UNMC and UNL extension ensuring alignment with community-based education and health workforce development. Travel may be required to visit preceptors/clinical sites and to conduct training/recognition events. Required and Preferred Qualifications Required Education: Business, Public Administration, Education, Health profession or related field. Required Experience: 5 years in academic program development, implementation and evaluation, including community-relations experience and experience working with community leaders and health care systems. Will consider additional related post-high school education in lieu of required experience. Required License: Valid driver’s license Required Computer Applications: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook Required Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational abilities with written and oral communication skills Proficiency with various software programs Ability to work independently, make decisions with minimal supervision, and solve problems Ability to coordinate programs Ability to work cooperatively with individuals at all levels Knowledge of grant processes Ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external audiences Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks accurately Excellent interpersonal, communication, team-building, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills Preferred Education: Business, Public Administration, Education, Health profession or related field Preferred Experience: Experience in higher education, workforce training, or provision of technical assistance; knowledge of active learning curriculum development; experience using rapid cycle quality improvement assessment strategies; experience building academic and community partnerships; familiarity with Nebraska communities; and work experience with health care systems in rural and underserved areas.
