Position Summary Serve as a strategic finance partner in a fast-growing healthcare services organization. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role responsible not only for financial modeling and KPI development, but also for capital allocation discipline, ROI tracking, and equity scenario analysis.

The role will help leadership understand the economic drivers of the business, deploy capital thoughtfully, evaluate growth and financing scenarios, and ensure financial decisions are supported by rigorous, transparent analysis.

Key Responsibilities Financial Planning, Modeling & KPI Architecture

Build and maintain detailed financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year strategic planning.

Develop driver-based models that clearly link enrollment, PMPM revenue, staffing ratios, utilization, and margin performance.

Define, track, and refine operational and financial KPIs tied to ECM and value-based care performance.

Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities through leading indicators and structured variance analysis.

Deliver clear, driver-based explanations of performance to executive leadership.

Capital Allocation & ROI Governance

Develop ROI models for all material capital investments, including IRR, payback, sensitivity, and downside scenarios.

Support capital prioritization decisions by preparing comparative return analysis across competing uses of funds.

Maintain a capital project tracking dashboard.

Conduct post-investment reviews and analyze variance between projected and actual returns.

Ensure capital decisions are supported by disciplined, decision‑ready financial analysis.

Equity Modeling & Scenario Analysis

Maintain and reconcile a fully diluted cap table in coordination with external platforms (e.g., Carta).

Build dilution, conversion, and financing scenarios (SAFE, convertible notes, preferred equity, option pool changes, ESOP considerations).

Develop exit waterfall models and ownership impact analyses under multiple valuation scenarios.

Support Board and leadership discussions with clear equity impact summaries and sensitivity analysis.

Ensure equity models are current, reconciled, and institutional-quality at all times.

Strategic Decision Support

Partner directly with operations and revenue cycle leaders to ensure financial models reflect operational realities.

Support payer negotiations, pricing strategy, contract economics, and new program launches.

Evaluate growth opportunities through structured financial modeling and scenario analysis.

Prepare concise, decision‑ready materials for executive leadership and Board discussions.

Improve and automate financial tools, models, and dashboards as the organization scales.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Advanced financial modeling skills, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.

Strong understanding of ROI, IRR, payback modeling, and capital allocation frameworks.

Experience building driver-based operating models.

High attention to detail and model accuracy.

Ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial leaders.

Advanced Excel / Google Sheets proficiency; comfortable working with evolving assumptions and imperfect data.

Preferred

Healthcare experience, particularly in ECM, value-based care, or payer-driven models.

Familiarity with healthcare revenue mechanics (PMPM, enrollment billing, utilization impacts, claims dynamics).

Experience supporting growth-stage or PE-backed environments.

Exposure to cap table management and equity scenario modeling.

Experience preparing board-level financial materials.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote within the state of California. Preference will be given to candidates based in the

Los Angeles/Orange County area . Periodic travel is required, approximately quarterly, to attend team meetings, training sessions, and company events.

Compensation

Pay Range: The good faith pay range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000 annually. The specific pay rate within this range will be based on the candidate's qualifications, including experience, skills and geographic location.
