Collaborates with business leadership to drive WSP's business development process for pursuits and proposals, sales pipeline development, and industry visibility plans Supports client account teams in developing client-focused strategies and action plans to enhance WSP's visibility and reputation, understand WSP's position with clients, and solicit feedback on existing work Leads and supports pursuit teams pre-RFP through proposal and interview phases including partnering with all WSP resources to drive overall strategy and sales approach, providing business intelligence on clients, competitors and WSP Develops key sales messages, themes, and differentiatorsCollaborates with technical staff and writes/reviews/edits original content for clarity, compliance, and key messages Works with graphic design staff to plan and produce materials to effectively communicate the strategic visions Coaches and leads presentation teams, facilitate interview strategy meetings, coach, and provide feedback to presenters, and prepare teams for Q&AWorks with minimal oversight, demonstrating strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills Oversees proposal workload, prioritizes assignments, monitors proposal team progress and quality, and takes corrective action when necessary May directly manage a team of professionals including day-to-day supervision of staff, performance reviews, mentoring, training, sharing best practices, and challenging individuals to deliver their best work May participate in professional development activities (e.g., SMPS, WTS) to enhance business acumen and industry relationships Exercises responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures May serve as a quality control review for sales and business development material Ensures compliance with sales and business development policies and procedures, including audit requirements, Go/No-Go facilitation, and proposal quality Assists in the ongoing development and refinement of sales and business development procedures and processes Performs additional responsibilities as required by business needs Who You Are
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of applicable experience 7 + years of experience Mentoring experience a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Possesses a strategic mindset and sound judgment Ability to build trust and influence others Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines High proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other software programs Excellent organizational and coordination skills along with liaison capabilities and knowledge of business development procedures is required Must have demonstrated experience managing standard and complex proposals from onset to conclusion with general guidance Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and coordinate large, diverse teams Must possess a strategic mindset WSP Benefits: WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
