As a Food Court Clerk at Festival Foods, you’ll be at the heart of our fast-paced food service area, preparing and serving up delicious meals for guests. Whether you’re making a fresh cup of Caribou coffee, serving pizza, or popping the perfect batch of popcorn, you’ll help create a welcoming, enjoyable experience for everyone who stops by. If you thrive in a restaurant-style environment and enjoy working as part of a team, this is the role for you! This position is an opening role with availability needed at 6:00AM.

Job Description\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a Food Court Clerk at Festival Foods, you will:

Provide Helpful Service:

Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you’ll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need will make a positive impact every day.

Offer Assistance:

Provide warm, friendly service by assisting guests with orders, recommending menu items, and ensuring they leave happy.

Prepare & Serve Delicious Food:

Work behind the scenes to craft tasty food court offerings, including coffee, pizza, and popcorn, while maintaining high-quality and food safety standards.

Keep It Clean & Stocked:

Maintain a sanitary, well-organized food court area by keeping supplies stocked, food safety logs updated, and workspaces spotless.

Work in a Team Environment:

Support your fellow associates in a restaurant-like setting, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Stay Safe & Efficient:

Follow food safety protocols, handle equipment such as fryers, ovens, and woks, and manage proper temperature controls for all prepared foods.

Teamwork:

Perform other duties as needed to support the team.

Honor Commitments:

Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.

What We’re Looking For\nTo succeed in the Food Court Clerk role, you should have:

A friendly, team-oriented attitude with strong guest service skills.

Ability to work in a fast food or restaurant retail grocery environment, multitask, and maintain efficiency.

Comfort handling food service equipment like dishwashers, fryers, woks, and ovens (training provided!).

Willingness to be cross-trained in different food court areas.

External Job Description\nWhat You’ll Do:\nAs a Food Court Clerk at Festival Foods, you will:

Provide Helpful Service:

Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you’ll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need will make a positive impact every day.

Offer Assistance:

Provide warm, friendly service by assisting guests with orders, recommending menu items, and ensuring they leave happy.

Prepare & Serve Delicious Food:

Work behind the scenes to craft tasty food court offerings, including coffee, pizza, and popcorn, while maintaining high-quality and food safety standards.

Keep It Clean & Stocked:

Maintain a sanitary, well-organized food court area by keeping supplies stocked, food safety logs updated, and workspaces spotless.

Work in a Team Environment:

Support your fellow associates in a restaurant-like setting, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Stay Safe & Efficient:

Follow food safety protocols, handle equipment such as fryers, ovens, and woks, and manage proper temperature controls for all prepared foods.

Teamwork:

Perform other duties as needed to support the team.

Honor Commitments:

Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.

What We’re Looking For:\nTo succeed in the Food Court Clerk role, you should have:

Friendly, team-oriented attitude with strong guest service skills.

Ability to work in a fast food or restaurant retail grocery environment, multitask, and maintain efficiency.

Comfort handling food service equipment like dishwashers, fryers, woks, and ovens (training provided!).

Willingness to be cross‑trained in different food court areas.

Create schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and service coverage.

Assist with planning daily operations and monitoring production processes following company standards and profitability expectations.

Train employees on in‑store policies, sales procedures, and record‑keeping requirements.

Identify and help develop high‑potential employees for advancement opportunities.

Inventory, Merchandising & Product Quality

Control inventory to ensure adequate product quantity, freshness, and quality; maintain inventory levels per division guidelines.

Stock, rotate, and organize all product; maintain orderly coolers and storage areas.

Build displays, rotate product, and remove outdated or spoiled items.

Ensure proper code‑dating procedures are followed for all products.

Implement effective promotional and seasonal displays.

When applicable, oversee the operation and maintenance of the salad bar, wing bar, and burger bar.

Receiving & Documentation

Perform receiving duties including breaking down loads, verifying orders against invoices, inspecting product quality, reporting shortages, and stocking product.

Adhere to temperature, storage, and packaging guidelines during receiving and processing.

Process administrative paperwork and maintain accurate department records.

Assist with preparing sales and inventory reports and participate in physical inventory every four weeks.

Compliance, Standards & Safety

Apply a working knowledge of company policies and guidelines as outlined in the Albertsons/Tom Thumb Employee Handbook.
