Job Title: AutoCAD Drafter – Construction as built
Location: South Florida
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to support our engineering and construction team with the preparation of professional construction drawings and technical documentation.
The ideal candidate will have experience producing construction-level drawings, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and developing accurate shop drawings and as-built documentation for active projects. Candidates with experience in structural repair, building restoration, waterproofing, or exterior envelope systems are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare high-quality AutoCAD drawings including plans, sections, elevations, and detailed construction drawings.
Develop shop drawings, structural repair details, and as-built drawings based on field measurements and engineering direction.
Interpret engineering plans, sketches, and specifications and convert them into accurate drafting documents.
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to verify dimensions and design intent.
Revise drawings based on RFIs, site conditions, and engineering feedback.
Maintain drawing logs, revision tracking, and organized project documentation.
Assist with drafting details related to concrete restoration, waterproofing systems, facade components, and structural elements.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of professional AutoCAD drafting experience in construction, engineering, or architecture.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D).
Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
Experience preparing construction documents and shop drawings.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with restoration or structural repair projects.
Experience working with engineering or construction firms.
Familiarity with South Florida building practices and codes.
Ability to perform basic takeoffs or field verification measurements is a plus.
